API SERVICES

By accessing or using the Arcform API Services ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to all of these Terms, you may not access or use the Service. These Terms apply to all users, including developers, applications, and integrations that access the API.
Arcform provides a walletless, developer-first API for sovereign-grade decentralised identity (DID) management and encrypted DIDComm v2 messaging. The Service includes identity activation, sealed envelope delivery, webhook management, verification services, and related developer tools. Arcform acts as the cryptographic actor of record under a Sovereign Proxy model — all signing, encryption, and key lifecycle management is performed by Arcform on the developer's behalf.
Each API key (ak_...) represents a sovereign decentralised identity. You are responsible for safeguarding your API keys and session tokens. You must not share, publish, or expose your API keys in client-side code, public repositories, or unsecured environments. Arcform reserves the right to revoke API keys that are found to be compromised or misused.
You agree not to use the Service to: (a) violate any applicable law or regulation, including GDPR, ePrivacy, or data protection laws; (b) transmit malicious, fraudulent, or unlawful content; (c) attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract cryptographic keys from the Service; (d) circumvent rate limits, usage quotas, or security measures; (e) impersonate other identities or forge envelope metadata; (f) use the Service for unsolicited bulk messaging or spam.
Arcform's metadata stripping ("Strip & Seal") is an architectural invariant — it is always active and cannot be disabled. Envelope payloads are encrypted end-to-end and never stored in plaintext. Envelope logs record hashes, byte counts, and latency metrics only — never message content. For full details, see our Privacy Policy.
The Service is offered under tiered plans (Explorer, Builder, Sovereign, Enterprise) with defined message limits, throughput caps, and feature sets. Free tier usage is subject to monthly message limits. Paid plans are billed monthly. Arcform reserves the right to modify pricing with 30 days' notice. Overage beyond plan limits will result in rate limiting, not additional charges, unless otherwise agreed.
Arcform targets 99.9% uptime for the core API (identity activation, envelope delivery, webhook push). Scheduled maintenance windows will be communicated at least 48 hours in advance. Arcform is not liable for downtime caused by force majeure, third-party dependencies (XRPL network, DNS providers), or actions by the developer that violate these Terms.
The Service, including its APIs, documentation, SDKs, and infrastructure, is the intellectual property of Arcform. You retain ownership of any content transmitted through the Service. By using the Service, you do not acquire any rights to Arcform's trademarks, trade names, or proprietary technology.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Arcform shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, or business opportunities, arising from your use of the Service. Arcform's total liability shall not exceed the amount paid by you for the Service in the 12 months preceding the claim.
You may terminate your account at any time by contacting support. Arcform may suspend or terminate your access for violation of these Terms, non-payment, or at its sole discretion with 30 days' notice. Upon termination, your API keys will be revoked and associated identities deactivated. Envelope logs and audit records are retained per our data retention policy.
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
Arcform reserves the right to update these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated via email to registered developers at least 30 days before taking effect. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
